Today Jim and I had a chance to check out different builders that produce portable structures that we can use for Tiny Homes.

We are willing to build them ourselves, but we think we can find structures which are higher quality and reasonably priced in a shorter amount of time, so we can get this done a lot sooner. We will still need to retrofit the inside of these portable structures to make them like a standard home (such as insulation, electrical, flooring, etc.).

We have found some structures from a local business out of Skagit County named Heritage Portable that are essentially very nice sheds. We are going to be speaking with them Monday to see if they can cut us a deal on a few of these structures.

They are about the size of a bedroom, and can customized depending on the need (Windows, Doors, larger, smaller, etc.). The size we are looking at for each of the homes is going to be about an 10′ x 8′ room in terms of space. We also plan to have two additional structures (A common area that would be a kitchen and storage, and another structure which would be plumbing related (Toilets, Showers, etc.).

We plan to organize the tiny homes into 4 home pods, with a Common area and Bathroom/Shower shared between two pods.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. LET’S MAKE THIS A REALITY, NOW.
